Where exactly are you located? TOP
Pretty Things Boutique is located at 5685 Cunard Street in Halifax,
Nova Scotia (Canada). We are directly across from the Halifax Armory

What methods of payment do you accept? TOP We accept cash, debit, Visa, and Mastercard at Pretty Things
Boutique bricks and mortar location (5685 Cunard Street). Sorry we do
not accept cheques as payment at our retail location.
For
online and phone orders we accept money orders, cheques, and Paypal
(which you can use to pay with your debit or credit card). Purchased
items will not be released/shipped until payment has been received in
full and cleared. We will not take credit card orders over the phone or
email for security reasons. What are your hours of operation? TOP Winter hours (effective December 28th) are as follows:

Online Purchases
- We accept returns on regular priced unwashed, unworn merchandise with
original tags/packaging for exchange or credit within 7 days of when
you receive your merchandise. Prior to returning your order please
contact us to inform us of why the item(s) are being returned. If your
return is received after 30 days a 20% restocking fee will apply. We do
not issue refunds on in stock merchandise but we will happily exchange
or credit you for your purchase. Sorry, we cannot refund the shipping
costs
All
merchandise is thoroughly inspected prior to being shipped out to you
so if you should receive an order that has obvious manufacturers flaws

In Store Purchases
- Unworn, unwashed merchandise with the tags/packaging on may be
brought back for an exhange or store credit with receipt within 14
(fourteen) days of original purchase. We do not issue refunds.
The following items are FINAL SALE at both our retail store and online:
- Underwear and lingerie sets that include underwear, earrings,discounted merchandise,special order merchandise, cosmetics
Where do you ship to? TOP Pretty Things Boutique now ships to Canada, USA, and world wide!
For Orders Shipping Outside of Canada
- Orders being shipped to America or anywhere else in the world outside
of Canada will require additional shipping fees.
Shipping costs and any applicaple taxes/duties are the responsibility
of the
the receipient. If an item is being shipped to anywhere outside of
Canada it may take additional time to go through customs and
unfortunately we are not able to speed up this process. How much does shipping cost? TOP Within Canada Shipping charges are as follows: First item $10.00 Next 3 items are $5
Additional items after that are $2
$300 or more = FREE SHIPPING! (Within Canada & Continental United States) Additional shipping charges will apply for items being sent
outside of Canada and we will email you the final total prior to shipping. All charges are listed in Canadian funds.
How long will it take for my order to get here? TOP All orders are generally shipped by Canada Post within 72 hours of receiving payment in full unless you are notified otherwise. Orders are not processed on weekends.
Canada Regular - generally within 6 to 10 business days. X Press Post - generally 2 to 3 business days (at additional cost upon request) Priority Mail - 1 to 2 business days (at additional cost upon request)
USA Regular - generally within 10 to 14 business days. Express - generally within 5 to 7 business days (at additional cost upon request)*
Due to items being processed through customs we are unable to guarantee your items any sooner than this at this time frame. Once an item has been shipped there is no way for us to intercept it and speed up the shipping process please keep this in mind when ordering.
International Please contact us before placing an international order so that we can give you an estimate on delivery times and shipping costs.
How do I know which size to buy? TOP
| Always consult the sizing chart on
the individual item page to get best fit results since there is no one single size chart. You will need three measurements
to help optimize your fit: (1) Bust (2) Natural Waist (3)Full Hips
You may find that your sizing may vary from one brand to the next depending on their size chart.
Be aware that items with more
stretch (i.e. jersey or spandex materials) will be a little more
forgiving between sizes, where as with items such as wool or tweed you
may need to order the next size up.
At Pretty Things Boutique is unique in that we carry both Missy and
Plus sized clothing because we believe every shape and size is
beautiful! There is generally a two size
difference between a Missy line and a Plus line so if you're a size 16
in a plus line you may be an 18 or 20 in a Missy line.

What's the difference between Missy sizes and Plus sizes? TOP Missy sizing (also known as "straight sizing") is designed for the "average" female body typically ranging from 4 to14. Plus size lines are cut for a fuller curvier body type and are often designed with more room in the bust area as well. Because these two types of lines are designed and cut differently they will fit differently; For example 1X in a Missy size line is going to fit very differently than a 1X in a Plus size line. There is generally a two size difference between a Missy line and a Plus line so if you're a size 16 in a plus line you may be an 18 or 20 in a Missy line.

If I see it on the site does that mean it is in stock? TOP Please note the inventory online is not in "real time" since our inventory is shared between our brick and mortar store and our online store. We try to keep the items on the site
as up to date as possible but sometimes items do sell out before we get
a chance to up date the website.
If any of the items you order are sold out but not showing that in our inventory we will notify you right away to see if you would like another option or refund your money for the out of stock item.
Do you have gift certificates? TOP Yes we do! Gift certificates are available in any denomination and are
good one year from the date of purchase. Consignment items and local
artwork cannot be purchased with gift certificates. Gift certificates
are non refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash; any remaining
balances left on gift certificates will be issued via a credit note
unless the amount is less than $4.00. See store for more details or
call (902) 492-8329. Gift certificates are the reponsibilty of its
holder and stolen or lost gift certificates will not be replaced. Do you offer layaway? TOP Our layaway policy is applicable only to in store purchases at this
time. Layaway terms are as follows: A nonrefundable deposit of taxes
down (13%) must be made at time of opening a new layaway. You will have
21 days to pay for your items in full and at time of layaway expiry you
will be contacted 3 (three) times by phone and/or email. Items bought on Layaway are subject to the terms and conditions the day that the Layaway initial deposit is made and is not subject to further discount. Sorry Layaway is not applicable to sale items.
Do you do holds? TOP We will do a 24 hour hold on items upon request via phone, email, or
in store the only exception is when there is a sales event. After the
24 hour period any unpaid merchandise will be returned to the sales
floor. No holds during a sale. I got a coupon for your store but I forgot to bring it with me will I still get the discount? TOP You must present any coupons at the time of purchase if you wish to
receive the discount. Please make note of the coupons expiry date and
any restrictions. Discount will not be honored if you do not have
coupon present at time of purchase - no exceptions! Do you offer retro active pricing or rain checks? TOP Unfortunatly at this time we are not able to offer retroactive pricing or issue rain checks. I love the shoes in your store but I am vegan: what are they made of? TOP All of our shoes and purses are made from synthetic materials (man
made) so you're safe to try 'em and buy 'em! We do not carry any real
leather or fur items. Do you have any locally made items in your store? TOP Yes! We are very happy to say we do carry some local items and are
looking to expand our selection of locally made items all the time so
if you make stuff that you think would suit the store then bring it in
to discuss our consignment policies. Do you carry locally made products? TOP Yes! Most of our items are made by small companies based out of California
(USA) where there is a thriving retro/rockabilly culture (Pretty Things
Boutique's inspiration!). We do carry some locally made items as well
as designs by small Canadian companies and are looking to expand our
Canadian clothing lines. How often to do you get new stock in and what days? TOP We
get new stock in typically every week though it is not just on one
particular day as when we receive our items completely depends on when
our suppliers are able to ship to us. Do you buy/sell used clothing? TOP No, as of right now we only sell brand new items. A lot of our items
look vintage but they are in fact reproductions based on styles of the
1940s through the 1960. I didn't read your policies or your FAQ's then placed my order and now I'm mad/want my money back!! TOP We put our policies and general information on this website so you can read them before you place your order(s). If you do not agree with our terms and policies please do not purchase from this website.
